Hi,I would like to inquire what sensor will fit my Dodge Caravan Model 2001? My bumper is little bit curving. I am afraid it might detect the ground. Thank you very much. Hoping for your answer. Thank you for spending the time filling out an inquiry. I hope this email will answer your question. I would suggest sensors that provide a degree of spacing on them. If you’re worried that the radar detection from the sensors might hit the ground, it doesn’t hurt to go with sensors with a 5 degree of spacing. A Dodge caravan has a low bumper but not too low for it to use 12 degree sensors. The 5 degree sensors will be a good choice. You can identify the sensor’s degree by looking at the last digit on the ID code. (ex. AW-20E5) Other options such as the color and the diameter of the sensors are cosmetic choices. We offer our customers a one year limited warranty for any kit. Also included in any kit is a DVD installation disc that will provide you with the proper installation of the RDD. Feel free to email any further questions to marketdivision@awellmarket.com. Drive Safely!

I have a 2005 quadcab 2500 4WD dodge pickup with a 8ft bed and I would like to install sensors in the bumper. Can you extend the wire on sensors more than 8ft? Also, what kit would you recommend and how many sensors? Thank you for sending your inquiry. I believe your quad-cab has a metal rear bumper. If that’s the case, I would advise not to install embedded sensors into the bumper. The efficiency of the sensors would not be at its full potential (The radar waves of the sensors react differently when it touches metal.) I suggest the Truck series system that is specially made for your type of vehicle. The Truck series system contains 4 sensors, a choice in the sensor wire length and a display (optional). These sensors are created with a spacing to keep apart metal to metal contact. Also, they mount to the bottom of your vehicle so that you do not have to drill into your bumper. Since your vehicle is a pickup truck with an 8ft bed, I would choose a wire length of 295inches for the sensor wire. Having a display will help guide your backup visually, also a nice feature to have with the system. We offer our customers a one year limited warranty for any kit that you choose. Also included in this kit is a DVD installation disc. Feel free to email any questions to marketdivision@awellmarket.com.

How do I choose between AW 20 E5 or AW 25 E5. It looks like the only difference is the diameter. Does one work better than the other in certain applications? I will be installing this on a Sprinter Van. Thank you for your inquiry and I hope this email will help you. All sensors are calibrated identically so there is no difference in performance. The difference in diameter is for cosmetic purposes. I have been given feedback that sensors with 5 degree of spacing have worked better with vans. The 5 degree sensors will be a good choice.
